Daniel Brown is Devon Wildlife Trusts Two Moors Pine Marten Project Officer. Daniel has been one of the key members in the DWT team helping in the reintroduction of pine martens to Devon after an absence of more than 150 years.
Daniel will enlighten us into the lives of the pine marten's and give an insite to how the team went about the reintroduction.
The retun of pine martens to Devon is a positive step in restoring the fortunes of local wildlife at a time when it faces huge challenges.

Volunteering - Weather permiting work parties will be held each Saturday throughout October to end of February 2026 starting on 4th October 2025. The main tasks to be carried out are laurel clearing, tree planting, coppicing of elder and path clearing. Meet at 10am in the wood.

We have finally removed the last of the tree guards (although the odd few do remain deep in the undergrowth which we will remove as they surface).

On a warm summers afteroon on the 17th August we held our summer garden party in the delightful garden of Di and Eric. Pims, cream teas and ice creams were enjoyed.
A moth hunt was held on Saturday 16th August 2025. A total of 63 different moths were identified.
